Bangladesh cricket team arrives in Lahore for Test series against Pakistan

The Bangladesh cricket team has arrived in Lahore to play a 2-Test match series against Pakistan. The visiting team will spend 3 days training in Lahore before departing for Islamabad on August 17, where the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will begin on August 21.

The Bangladesh cricket team reached Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport from Dhaka to play the test matches. Strict security arrangements were made for the arrival of the Bangladesh team at the Lahore airport.

The visiting team was taken to a private hotel under tight security from the Allama Iqbal Airport. As per the schedule, the Bangladesh team will rest at the hotel today.

Bangladesh’s team will have its first training session at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on August 14. After 3 days of training at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the Bangladesh team will depart for Islamabad on August 17. The visiting team will play a 2-Test match series during their tour.

The visiting team will take the field for the first Test match on August 21 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while the second Test will begin from August 30 in Karachi.

The Bangladesh team, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, has arrived in Lahore. The team includes Mahmudullah, Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan. Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nazmul Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Ebadot Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed and Khaled Ahmed are also part of the squad.

A member of the Awami League in Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan is also part of the Bangladesh team. Hasan was working as a member of parliament in the government of Sheikh Hasina.

There is strong reaction against the government of Sheikh Hasina and the members of her cabinet in Bangladesh.

Shakib Al Hasan was busy with a T20 league in Canada during the unrest in Bangladesh and will be joining the team directly from Canada.

The Bangladesh team was originally scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on August 17th. However, due to the recent situation in Dhaka, the PCB had invited the Bangladesh Cricket Board to send their team earlier for practice.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board accepted the PCB’s invitation and decided to send the team earlier for practice before the start of the Test series.
