Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan has claimed that his son Aryan Khan was a look alike of Hong Kong actor and director Jackie Chan when he was born.
Khan appeared in 77th Locarno Film Festival where he spoke on diverse topics regarding his career and his projects.
“You know, when kids are born, they looks a bit like (makes facial expression). He’s like Jackie Chan. He looked very Jackie Chan-ish to me. Then I trained him in taekwondo assuming he’ll grow up to be Jackie Chan. I really wanted him to be Jackie Chan, I’m telling you honestly,” he said.
Khan spoke highly of Chan, stating that he is one of Khan’s all-time favorite actors. Khan described Chan as being “funny, physically amazing, and a talented performer.” Khan said that Chan continues to be an inspiration to him.
Furthermore, Khan revealed that when his first son, Aryan, was born, Khan felt that Aryan resembled the “Drunken Master” star Jackie Chan. This suggests that Khan saw similarities in the physical appearance or mannerisms between his newborn son and the iconic action star.
Khan recalled meeting Chan several years ago, about 3-4 years prior. Khan said it was a privilege to meet Chan, and that the legendary actor was exactly as sweet and humble as Khan had expected him to be.
He shared that during their meeting, Chan promised to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership with Khan, should he ever see the interview where Khan discussed their encounter.
