Supreme Court to announce verdict on recount of votes on Monday

A three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa would deliver the judgment on the recount of votes in three National Assembly constituencies on Monday (tomorrow).

This comes after concerns were raised about the integrity of the voting process in above mentioned constituencies during the recent general elections.

Last month, the SC bench completed the proceedings in an appeal for the recounting of votes in the NA-81 constituency. The appellant Azhar Qayyum Nahra, who had lost the February 8 election to independent candidate Chaudhry Bilal Ejaz, had sought a recounting of votes.
