Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Wednesday, mirroring an upward trend in the global market. Following a dip on Tuesday, the local price per tola climbed by Rs2,300 to reach Rs252,800.
The 10-gram gold also saw an increase, selling at Rs216,735, up by Rs1,972, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The international gold rate rose on Wednesday, reaching $2,413 per ounce (with a $20 premium), a gain of $22 from the previous day.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,920 per tola.
This recent rise follows a record high of Rs254,000 per tola reached on Thursday, when the price surged by Rs4,600.
