The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has achieved a major success by arresting Amin-ul-Haq, a close associate of Osama bin Laden.
DIG CTD Wasim Ahmad Sial, in a press conference in Lahore, revealed that the suspect is listed as a terrorist by the United States and the European Union.
He stated that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway. It is worth noting that Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda, was killed in a US raid in Abbottabad on May 2, 2011.
According to details, the terrorist was apprehended after an intelligence-based operation. Amin-ul-Haq is a senior al-Qaeda operative and is internationally known as Osama bin Laden’s security supervisor.
The DIG CTD stated that they are investigating why a terrorist of this level was present in Pakistan. The arrested terrorist possesses a Pakistani ID card with addresses in Lahore and Haripur.
