The Interior Ministry has approved Sindh Home Department’s request for deployment army and FC (Frontier Constabulary) personnel in Sindh during the month of Muharram.
The army and FC will be able to take control of any area at the behest of the civil administration.
The deployment of the army in Sindh is being carried out under Section 4 and 5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, similar to deployments across the country.
The federal ministry of interior has issued orders for the army deployment, stating that the forces will be deployed to assist the civil administration.

The ministry of interior has clarified that the deployment of the army will be based on the ground situation and that the provinces will have the authority to determine the deployment locations.
The Sindh Home Department has already contacted the military authorities and a roadmap for the deployment of the army during Muharram has been prepared.
The Ministry of Interior has stated that the deployment of army personnel will be carried out in consultation with all relevant parties, ensuring that the deployment is in accordance with the needs of the situation.
