According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a possibility of heavy rain with strong winds in various parts of Sindh, including Karachi, Thatta, Badin, and Sajjwal, starting July 8 (today).
PMD has reported that winds were blowing at a speed of 17 km per hour from the west, and the humidity in the air was recorded at 74% in Karachi.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that there is a possibility of light rainfall in Karachi on July 8 and 9.
According to the PMD, the current temperature in the city of Karachi is 37 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 73%.
The intense heat in various cities of Punjab has been broken with the arrival of the monsoon rains. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the monsoon winds are forecast to enter eastern Sindh on July 6.
Certain areas such as Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Dadu, Jamshoro, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Thatta, and Karachi may witness rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and lightning at some locations; however, hot and humid weather is also expected in several areas of the province.
PMD has stated that Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may experience heavy rains with strong winds and thunderstorms at some locations today.
Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to have hot and humid weather, along with the possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain during the night hours.

Karachi to experience severe heat today, other cities could get rain
In Punjab, hot and humid weather is expected. However, certain areas such as Murree, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Khushab, Mianwali, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Okara, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan may witness thunderstorms and rain at some locations.
Several areas of KP, including Balakot, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Malakand, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Batragram, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Tank, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Kurram, Lakki Marwat, North and South Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan, are expected to experience thunderstorms and rainfall at several locations.
Balochistan is expected to experience hot and humid weather. However, certain areas such as Zhob, Barkhan, Sherani, Musakhel, Kohlu, Sibi, Dera Bugti, Jhal Magsi, Nasirabad, Loralai, Khuzdar, Awaran, Lasbela, and the surrounding regions may witness thunderstorms and rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and lightning.
