A man was allegedly tortured and his eyes gouged out by five men in a village in Bahawalpur on Monday.
This incident took place in village 13-Soling. within the jurisdiction of the Baghdadul Jadid police station on Monday.
According to the police, five suspects tortured Sufian on accusations that he had stolen a donkey cart. During this torture, the suspects allegedly gouged out Sufian’s eyes.
The police spokesman stated that Sufian had completely lost vision in one eye, while the other eye was severely damaged. Sufian also sustained torture wounds on various parts of his body.
Acting on orders from the District Police Officer Asad Sarfraz, a police team was dispatched to the scene to arrest the perpetrators. Sufian was then admitted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital emergency ward for treatment.
The police spokesman stated that the motive behind this gruesome crime was a land dispute, and not the alleged theft of a donkey cart as mentioned earlier.

The spokesman also confirmed that one suspect, identified as Iqrar Hussain, had been arrested out of the five individuals accused of carrying out the torture and eye gouging.
Additionally, the spokesman noted that the process of registering a first information report (FIR) against the suspects was underway at the time the report was being filed in the evening.
