Memon seeks Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori’s resignation

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has sought resignation from Governor Kamran Tessori after the latter’s party made anti-Zulfikar Ali Bhutto comments.

“Everyone knows Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a national hero,” he said at a press conference in Karachi on Monday. He was accompanied by Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.

Earlier in the day, MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that all races residing in Pakistan must be granted equal rights.

While speaking about the provincial issues, he claimed that whatever had happened in the last 50 years was planned and a conspiracy. “The events of the Fall of Dhaka on December 16, 1971, and the takeover by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on December 23, proved the stance of Pakistan’s division and conspiracy against it to be correct.”

“The MQM-P’s politics is different and we have no objection to that. But if they will put baseless allegations against PPP’s martyred leadership, then we know how to give a response,” Memon said and added that the PPP was not afraid of the MQM-P.

He demanded an apology from the MQM-P leadership over their comments against Bhutto. Memon accused the party of promoting politics of hatred in the province.

While blaming the rival party of the provincial issues, the Sindh information minister challenged the MQM-P to contest elections to check popularity among masses.
