The Parliamentary Committee on judges appointment has approved the names proposed by the Judicial Commission for elevation to the Supreme Court.

Sources reveal that the committee has given its nod to the appointment of Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Justice Shahzad Malik to the Supreme Court.

The committee also approved the nominations of Justice Shahid Bilal of the Lahore High Court and Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court Justice Aqeel Abbasi.
