Owner of private housing society killed in his home

A prominent housing society owner was found murdered in his own home in Gujranwala, Punjab province on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Sardar Zahoor Ahmed, a well-known figure in the local real estate industry. The incident took place in the Aroop area of Gujranwala, within the jurisdiction of Aroop police station.

According to the police, Sardar Zahoor Ahmed was sleeping in his house when unknown assailants barged in and killed him. Initial investigations suggest that the perpetrators used force before taking his life.

“The elderly Sardar Zahoor Ahmed was sleeping in his home when unknown assailants attacked and murdered him. We have launched a thorough investigation to apprehend the culprits,” a police spokesman stated.

The police further revealed that the suspects fled the scene after the incident, also taking the victim’s DVR (digital video recorder) with them. Authorities have initiated a search operation and are collecting additional evidence to identify and arrest the murderers.
