A police van carrying a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and three other officers plunged into a ditch near Ghenoian Mor in Kotli Sattian, Rawalpindi, due to speeding, resulting in injuries to all four occupants.
According to Punjab Police, the DSP Kotli Sattian was traveling in the official vehicle when the driver lost control near the Ghenoian Mor bend, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into the ditch.
The accident left the DSP and three other officers injured. They were promptly transported to the Tehsil Hospital Kotli Sattian for medical treatment. Fortunately, the condition of the injured officers is reported to be stable.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred while the vehicle was negotiating a sharp turn. The official van was carrying the DSP Kotli Sattian, the driver, a gunman, and an operator.
Police authorities have confirmed that a crane was called to the scene to retrieve the vehicle from the ditch. Rescue workers successfully extracted the van after a challenging operation.
