A member of the provincial assembly (MPA) from the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) intervened in the Pesco (Peshawar Electric Supply Company) sub-division. The Chief Engineer of Pesco has filed a complaint with the Peshawar police, seeking legal action against the MPA and his supporters.
The complaint alleges that MPA Fazal Elahi, a member of the ruling party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with 500 supporters, forcefully entered the Pesco Chamkani sub-division and restored power to six feeders.
The Chief Engineer stated that power supply was restored from 10 am to 1 pm, resulting in the consumption of 70,000 units of electricity, causing a loss of Rs3.6 million to the national treasury. He demanded action against MPA Fazal Elahi and his associates.
The incident occurred after MPA Fazal Elahi arrived at the Rahman Baba Grid Station with the intention of taking control of the facility. He entered the station with PTI workers and activated several feeders.
