‘We want education’: North Wazirsitan girls visit school after terrorist attack

Students of a private girls’ school, which was blown up by unidentified militants in Tehsil Shewa of North Waziristan district earlier this week, visited their school with banners saying: give education to daughter.

Students, with tear-filled eyes, stood seeing the wreckage of their once-vibrant school.

The resilient students of the Aafia Girls’ Middle School bravely raised banners, advocating for the right to education.

On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued an order for the rebuilding of a girls’ school that was destroyed in an explosion in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa earlier this week.

The premier condemned the terrorist attack and commanded authorities to launch an investigation against the alleged attackers and ensure “exemplary punishment” is given.

PM Shehbaz said that the government would not allow terrorists to succeed in their nefarious designs to deprive girls of their right to education.

In the KP region, specifically in the North Waziristan district, a privately-owned girls’ school in the Drazanda area suffered significant destruction as a result of a targeted bomb explosion.

The perpetrators attacked the school using explosive materials.
