Matriculation exams are set to begin in Karachi on Tuesday, May 9, but the process has been marred by chaos and confusion. Students and parents have been thronging the matriculation board office in search of admit cards and exam forms.
Private school officials claim that they had submitted the forms to an agent, who has disappeared with both the forms and the fees.
Students at the board office say that they have not received their admit cards from their schools, even though the exams are starting tomorrow.
In response to these issues, a spokesperson for the matriculation board said that the process of issuing admit cards has been ongoing since April 30. He blamed private schools for not submitting their forms on time.

The board spokesperson further said that schools that submitted their forms online can print the admit cards online. He added that the load increases when several schools try to print admit cards at the same time in the last few days.
Regarding students who have come to submit their exam forms, the spokesperson said that their forms will not be accepted.
