A case has been filed against former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas for an armed attack on Centaurus Mall in Islamabad.
The case was filed by the mall’s deputy security incharge Colonel (r) Tipu Sultan in the Margalla Police Station.
The FIR states that Ilyas stormed Centaurus with Aneel Sultan, Rizwan and 20-25 other men.
They tried to forcibly take over an office belonging to Arshad Ilyas, who is Tanveer’s brother.

While the security staff resisted, Tanveer Ilyas allegedly fired at the deputy security incharge and missed.
The FIR also accuses the former PM of instructing his men to shoot his brother on sight.
However, the security staff managed to hold off the armed party until the police came.
Sultan told the police that this is not the first such instance where a Tanveer Ilyas had tried to storm offices by force.
However, Sardar Imtiaz, a former special assistant to Ilyas when the latter was PM, said in a press conference that the FIR was fake and should be invstigated. He said that the FIR was politically motivated.
Imtiaz said that the false allegations had hurt the sentiments of the people of AJK. He called for action against the police officer who had filed the FIR.
