Indian actress Mrunal Thakur has called her experience of working with Indian artist, Shahid Kapoor, in their film “Jersey” as ‘overwhelming’.
In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Mrunal revealed an amusing incident that occurred during the initial stages of filming.
She confessed that she had mistakenly arrived late for a script reading with Shahid Kapoor due to an incorrect address.
“Your smile in real life is exactly like it is on screen,” she blurted out upon the first meeting with Shahid Kapoor.
“During the shoot of Jersey, there were days when I would forget my lines because I was so overwhelmed being on the sets with Shahid Kapoor. He’s a great co-star,” Mrunal said.
Mrunal’s awe and nervousness around Shahid continued throughout the shooting of “Jersey.”
She revealed that there were moments when she even forgot her lines due to being overwhelmed by his presence.
She praised Shahid as a fantastic co-star.

However, Mrunal admitted feeling intimidated while working with actors she greatly admires on screen.
“This happens because of your assumptions, presumptions, fears, and preconceived notions about the power dynamics, spoken and unspoken. Territorial behavior and the mistaken idea of seeing the person as a threat can also make collaborating harder,” he explained in an interaction with indianexpress.com.
Indian actress Mrunal Thakur, known for her notable contributions to Hindi and Telugu cinema, has garnered attention for her versatile performances.
Thakur gained recognition through her roles in popular soap operas such as “Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan” and “Kumkum Bhagya.”
Her exceptional portrayal in the latter earned her the prestigious Indian Television Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
