Popular New York City influencer Eva Evans, aged 29, died by committing suicide, according to authorities.
Authorities revealed that Evans was discovered in her apartment on Saturday evening by a friend who had access to her residence.
The friend reportedly had no prior knowledge of Evans struggling with her mental health. A note was found at the scene.
Evans’ sister, Lila, took to social media platform, Instagram on April 21 to share the heartbreaking news of the influencer’s passing.
In the picture posted, Eva was wearing a vibrant dress and smiling.
Lila wrote a heartfelt caption, urging readers to share the post to ensure the news reached everyone who needed to know. Lila described Eva as sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, and hilarious, emphasizing the devastating loss her family has experienced.
“After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be,” she said.
She announced that a celebration of Eva’s life would take place in lower Manhattan on April 23, providing details to interested attendees via direct message.
Lila concluded her caption by expressing her love and deep longing for her sister.
She also mentioned her intention to step back from social media temporarily to focus on organizing the celebration of Eva’s life.

Acclaimed actress Julia Fox, known for her role in “Uncut Gems,” paid tribute to Eva on TikTok, tearfully describing her as a TikTok star and a New York icon.
Fox shared the close bond she had with Eva, viewing her as a younger sister who always supported her. She expressed sorrow at Eva’s passing, noting her youth and unfulfilled potential.

Eva Evans had amassed over 300,000 followers on TikTok, where she captivated her audience with humorous content about her life as a woman in her twenties living in New York City.
