Govt will find a way to complete Pak-Iran gas pipeline: Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that the government will bring a significant change in Pakistan within a year. He also said that the government will find a way to complete the Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Project.

Sepaking to Geo News, Khawaja Asif said that visit of the President of Iran was very successful.

He added that there is instabilty in the region and the intervention of big powers has increased. He added that Iran and Pakistan must gather on a common platform to protect our interests.

He said that Pakistan and Iran have a long history of relations, the president of Iran wanted them to hold a big meeting, we could not arrange some things due to security concerns.

Asif said that terrorism is the two countries’ common problem and it needs to be controlled and that the two brotherly countries will fight terrorism together.

If anyone is hurt by the visit of the Iranian president, it does not matter, Asif said, adding that the pain and suffering of the Pakistani people should be healed.

Khawaja Asif said that when the Afghan Taliban conquered Kabul, he had tweeted, “powers are yours and God is ours” and he still stands by that tweet of his.

He further said that the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is attacking Pakistan due to the direct or indirect support of Afghanistan.
