More than two hundred Pakistanis, including national cricketers, have been stranded at the airport due to the torrential rains in Dubai.
The general secretary of the Exchange Companies Association, Zafar Pracha, has also been stranded at the Dubai Airport for three days.
He told Aaj News that the Pakistani passengers are completely helpless and no one is arranging relief for them.
National cricketers Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal and Umar Gul are also stranded at Dubai Airport due to rains.
Rains lashed the UAE earlier this week breaking 75-year records and causing major highways to be submerged by water.
The airport said on Thursday morning it had resumed receiving inbound flights at Terminal 1, used by foreign carriers, but that flights continue to be delayed and disrupted.
Emirates, the single largest carrier at the airport, said it would resume checking-in passengers in Dubai at 9 a.m. (0500 GMT) on Thursday, delaying the restart from midnight by nine hours.
An updated later advised people to check with their airlines before leaving homes for the airport.
The airport struggled to get food to stranded passengers with nearby roads blocked by flood waters, and because of overcrowding limited access to those who had confirmed bookings.
The storm, which hit neighbouring Oman on Sunday, pounded the UAE on Tuesday, flooding roads and causing hours-long gridlock as rainwater inundated homes. One person was reported dead in the UAE and 20 in Oman.
