According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the terrorist was indentified as Chakar Liaquat.
ISPR said that the forces had identified a terrorist hideout and successfully engaged them, killing Liaquat and injuring two other terrorists.
“Weapon and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities,” ISPR said.
The forces also undertook a sanitizing operation to make sure no other terrorists remained in the area.
The operation comes days after Pakistan carried out strikes into Afghanistan on terrorist hideouts after a terror attack killed seven soldiers in Waziristan.
