American rapper Jonathan H. Smith also known as ‘Lil Jon’ has converted to Islam at a mosque located in California. He announced this news on his social media on Friday.

The rapper unveiled this news on Instagram by reciting the Shahada (the Islamic declaration of faith) in English and Arabic at a mosque in Los Angeles on Friday.

Lil Jon announced his conversion to Islam in front of a large crowd after making it officia in Fahad mosque located in California, according to the Turkish news website Daily Sabah.

On Saturday, the rapper thanked his around one million followers on Instagram for their positivity and love through posting a story.

Lil Jon became popular through his songs ‘Turn Down for What’, ‘Let’s Go’, and ‘Act a Fool’. He was born in 1972 in Atlanta.
