The price of gold increased by Rs100 to stand at Rs215,900 per tola for selling on February 28 in Pakistan, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of 10 grammes of gold also increased by Rs86 to Rs185,100 from the earlier price of Rs185,014.
Similarly, the price of 10 grammes 22 karat gold went up to Rs169,674 from the previous price of Rs169,596.
Meanwhile, the price of per tola and 10 grammes silver remained flat at Rs2,570 and Rs2,203.36, respectively.
In the international market, gold prices were steady on Tuesday, as investors awaited a key US inflation reading due later this week that could provide more information on how soon the Federal Reserve might begin cutting interest rates, Reuters reported.
Spot gold was little changed at $2,031.03 per ounce, while US gold futures edged 0.1% higher to $2,040.5 per ounce.
