As predicted by the Met Office, Karachi witnessed fast winds on Monday evening with the possibility of rain seeming increasingly likely in coastal areas.
Earlier on Monday, the Met Office had predicted light rain with windstorms in Jamshoro, Karachi, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Khairpur and Larkana.
The temperature in Karachi stayed at 16.5 degrees between Sunday and Moday, with the Met Office predicting an increas to 17 degrees on Monday night.
However, the windstorm in Karachi ended up lowering the temperature further.
The change in weather has been attributed to a westerly wave which was likely to enter Balochistan on Sunday night and may grip the upper parts of the country on Monday.
