The Iranian military forces reportedly conducted an operation inside Pakistani territory on Thursday, killing a prominent commander of the Jaish al-Adl group, reports claimed.
The allegedly killed commander, identified as Ismail Shahbakhsh, was targeted along with several of his accomplices in Pakistani territory, Hindustan Times quoted Iran International English as saying.
However, the claim could not be independently verified either by the Pakistan officials or Iranian authorities.
Meanwhile, the publication also did not share the place where the alleged operation was conducted.

It is pertinent to mention that the tension soured between the two neighbouring countries last month when Iran fired missiles into Pakistani territory against alleged “terror units”.
Pakistan cut all diplomatic relations with Iran while its army also conducted strikes inside Iran to target “terrorist elements”.
Later, the two countries mutually agreed to expand security cooperation and to respect each other’s sovereignty.
