Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Pervaiz Elahi said on Wednesday that Nawaz Sharif was ‘trapped’ into being humilated by his brother, Shehbaz.
Speaking to reporters during a court hearing in Lahore on Wednesday, Elahi said that Nawaz has lost what little standing he had with the public and will spend his life hiding his face.
He also said that people had rejected the ‘laadlas’ and had given PTI a clear majority.
However, he added that results were changed overnight by rigging and PTI had lost in places it was winning in.
Elahi said that all sorts of tactics had been used to supress the PTI but voters had still come out in large numbers.
He said that the party will not allow its mandate to be stolen and that any government formed without the peoples support will be unstable.
His statement comes a day after the PMLN announced that Shehbaz, not Nawaz, will be its candidate for PM.
