The Haq Do Tehreek (HDT) on Saturday lost Gwadar’s NA-259 to the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) despite leading the race in the initial results.
The HDT was leading on the seat in the initial counting on February 8 and the next day, however, the PPP was declared victorious in the final result earlier today.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (EC) results, HDT’s Hussain Baloch was the runner-up, bagging 21,350 votes as compared with PPP’s Malik Shah who secured 40,778 votes and was declared the winner from the constituency.
Yaqoob Bizenjo, an independent candidate, remained the third in the race as he secured 20,613 votes while JUI-F’s Khaled Waleed finished with 253 votes to his tally.
