Former MNA Mohsin Dawar injured in firing in North Waziristan

Former lawmaker Mohsin Dawar was injured on Saturday after unidentified men opened fire at him in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan, sources said.

Dawar is the central chairman of the National Democratic Movement.

In his post on X earlier in the day, Dawar claimed that the staff of some polling stations in NA 40 was nowhere to be seen.

He also alleged that Iqbal Wazir was declared the winner by 24,000 votes in PK 104 after rigging.

In a video statement on the polling day, Dawar alleged that Taliban took over polling stations in Tappi, North Waziristan in his constituency NA-40.

“Three of our female polling agents escaped a blast in the morning. I had conveyed my concerns about the security situation in Tappi to the DRO which were ignored,” he said.

Meanwhile, Additional SHO Din Muhammad Sherani was killed when terrorists attacked a police vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan.

At least three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire with police.
