WWE founder Vince McMahon accused of sex trafficking

A former employee of World Wrestling Entertainment has accused company’s founder Vince McMahon of abusing and sexually trafficking her tempt wrestling talent when he was the WWE CEO, Variety reported.

In a case at a Connecticut district court on Thursday, Janel Grant alleged that she was also sexually assaulted at the company.

But McMahon’s spokesperson rejected it, saying that it was “replete with lies” and his client would “vigorously defend himself”.

McMahon stepped down from the WWE’s chair and CEO amid sexual misconduct claims.

He was reinstated as chair of WWE a year later, after the company had concluded an investigation into the allegations.

She has named the founder and former head of talent John Laurinaitis as defendants in the case.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant accused them both of trafficking her to other men “as a sexual pawn to secure talent deals with prospective wrestlers they were recruiting”.

McMahon “repeatedly used sex toys named after other WWE employees, wrestlers and performers to sexually groom Ms. Grant for trafficking to those same people,” said the suit.
