The price of gold remained unchanged on Tuesday and stands at Rs215,200 per tola for selling on January 25 in the local market of Pakistan, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
Similarly, the price of 10 grammes of 24 karats and 10 grammes 22 karats also remained stagnant at Rs184,500 and Rs169,124 respectively.
The price of per tola and 10 grammes silver remained flat at Rs2,600 and Rs2,2229.08 respectively.
In the international market, gold eked out gains on Wednesday due to a lower dollar, as investors awaited a deluge of economic news in the US this week for more clues on the pace and scale of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate cuts.
Spot gold edged up 0.1% to $2,030.01 per ounce while US gold futures rose 0.28% to $2,031.30.
The dollar slipped 0.5% against its rivals, after hitting its highest since December 13 on Tuesday, while the Benchmark 10-year Treasury yield also edged lower but remained above 4%.
