Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has ordered Sher Afzal Marwat to suspend all political activities in Sindh and return to Islamabad.
The development comes after Marwat exchanged barbs with leaders in his own party over conduct in Sindh.
The firebrand lawyer was on a whirlwind tour of Sindh to generate momentum for the upcoming general elections.
However, statements against party leaders and ending of an alliance with JUI-Sherani had landed him in the cross hairs of party leaders, including spokesperson Raoof Hassan.
In a post on X, Marwat had referred to Hamid Khan and Raoof Hassan by name and called them ‘sick-minded’.
“Why these people are targeting me? Did I ever talk against them?” he had written.
He had then announced that he would be calling off his campaign, only to announce he would restart it as it was assigned by Imran Khan.
