The government has raised the price of electricity by a massive Rs4.12 in lieu of fuel adjustment charges.
The price hike was notified by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority after its approval on Thursday.
The increase has been made in lieu of fuel adjustment charges for the month of November and will only be applicable for the month of January.
NEPRA said that the Central Power Purchasing Authority had requested an increase of Rs4.66 but the full amount was not granted.
The price hike will not affect K-Electric consumers.
