Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said on Thursday that Imran Khan’s lawyer has gone missing after getting the former prime minister’s nomination papers signed from Adiala Jail.

In a post on X, PTI said that Rai Muhammad Ali went inside the jail to get the papers signed but never returned. The lawyers who accompanied Ali were left waiting and did not get any explanation from the jail officials.

The party also made multiple other posts about its candidates and their representatives getting arrested as they tried to file their nomination papers.

The party posted a video from Sialkot apparently showing Haider Ali Gill, son of former ticket holder Chaudhry Munawwar Gill, being arrested from the returning officer’s office.

In Vehari, PP-234 candidate Zahid Iqbal’s lawyer Hammad Raza Jatt was arrested from the RO office as he went to file the nomination papers, the party said.
