The Supreme Court has finally fixed Justice Mazahar Naqvi’s petitions against proceedings in the Supreme Judicial Council for hearing on December 15.
A three-member bench led by Justice Aminuddin Khan will hear the petition. The bench will also include Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Justice Mussarat Hilali.
Justice Naqvi had challenged the proceedings against him in the Supreme Judicial Council. He had also challengeed the show-cause notices issued to him.
The judge had recently written a letter to the Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan and Justice Tariq Masood asking for his appeals to be fixe durgently. He had mainatianed that the appeals must be fixed within 14 days under the Practice and Procedure bill.
He had added that the SJC is proceeding against him on the basis of ‘bald and frivolous’ allegations.
Justice Naqvi is currently facing proceedings in the SJC for misconduct and undeclared assets.
