Talking to the media after recovering, Rizwana said, ‘‘I am very happy, everyone took great care of me, earlier My health was not good but the doctors and nurses took great care of me.’’

Rizwana, a domestic help who was tortured by the wife of a civil judge in Islamabad, was undergoing treatment at the General Hospital in Lahore for five months, Rizwana was brought from Sargodha to Lahore General Hospital with injuries on her head, face, and waist.

Rizwana’s case gained attention in July when her father, Manga Khan, claimed that she had wounds on the back of her head and several smaller, insect-infected wounds when the family reached Islamabad on July 23 to see her.

The family resided in Sargodha, occasionally communicating with Rizwana, who worked at the civil judge’s house in Zarta Housing Society, Islamabad, earning a monthly salary of Rs10,000.

According to the medical report, due to lack of timely treatment, Rizwana’s wounds were wormed, there were injury marks in 15 places on the body, including the girl’s head, and the girl’s internal organs were also affected.

But today Rizwana was discharged from the hospital after more than four months of medical treatment.
