Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that no one had any idea that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would actually become a movement for the country’s destruction.
Speaking to the media after appearing in Lahore’s accountability court in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case, Shehbaz said that Nawaz Sharif could have formed a coalition government in 2013 but did not know the route PTI would end up taking.
He added that Nawaz had been removed each time he had come to power. He added in 2017, even PMLN’s government in Balochistan had been brought down.
Shehbaz said that Nawaz had gone into exile multiple times and had seen his daughter get arrested in front of him but had still come back to face the courts.
He added that the whole party considered it a duty to respect the judiciary.
Shehbaz said that polls should take place on time and Nawaz would run a full-fledged campaign.
