Khawar Maneka, the ex-husband of former first lady Bushra Bibi on Saturday has filed a petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in a matter pertaining to his alleged ‘un-Islamic’ marriage.
In the petition, Maneka repeated most of the claims he made during a recent TV interview but also levelled serious allegations against Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and Bushra Bibi’s sisters Maryam.
He said Maryam had a “strong connection with Jewish lobby” and that Imran Khan formed illicit relations with Busrha when he and Zulfi Bukhari frequented Maneka’s home in his absence “prior to their so-called nikah”.
Maneka claimed that he had divorced Bushra Bibi only “half heartedly” and expected her to reconcile with him “through my mother’s intervention” before February 2018, when the idat period was to end, “but my plans of reconciliation were frustrated due to premature nikah of both the respondents during iddah period.”
According to the media reports, Imran Khan allegedly got into wedlock with his third wife on the time of her Iddat, an Islamic terminology which is considered to be a specified time period of waiting for a woman before marrying to someone else after the death of her spouse or getting divorced.

Earlier in an interview with Geo News, Mr. Maneka said that six months before their divorce, Bushra Bibi reportedly separated from him and went to her parent’s house in Pakpattan.
Maneka, in an attempt to reconcile, confronted Bushra about a possible divorce.
However, she remained silent. On November 14, 2017, Maneka sent the divorce certificate to Farah Gogi, who later called requesting a change in the date.
Maneka claimed that the nikah between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi was held on Janaury 1, 2018.
Maneka accused Imran Khan of ruining his “entire life” and stigmatizing “my entire family by hooking my wife.”
Maneka said he wanted the respondents punished as per the law.
