A surprising revelation has emerged about the well-known Indian actress ‘Tabu’ in the film industry. The actress,‘Tabassum Hashmi,’ is the daughter of Pakistani actor Jamal Hashmi.

Jamal Hashmi was a renowned Pakistani actor in the 1970s. He entered the Pakistani film industry, credited to Ali Affan Siddiqui, a prominent producer and director in Pakistan.

Jamal Hashmi’s role in Ali Affan Siddiqui’s film ‘Sazaa’ garnered immense popularity, leading to his name being changed to Jameel Hashmi in the film world.

Jameel Hashmi later married Rizwana, a woman related to Indian actress Shabana Azmi, and they moved to Lahore, Pakistan. Rizwana, associated with teaching, hailed from a Muslim family in Hyderabad.

Facing marital challenges, Jamal Hashmi decided to leave the Pakistani film industry and moved to India in an attempt to salvage his marriage. In India, the couple had two daughters, including Bollywood actress Tabu, and her sister Farah Naaz.

Tabu ventured into the Indian film industry, causing a rift with her father Jamal Hashmi, leading to their separation. Meanwhile, Tabassum Hashmi continued her acting career, gaining popularity with her debut film ‘Pahla Pehla Pyaar’ in 1994.

Throughout her film career, the 52-year-old actress has captivated audiences with her diverse roles.
