The Federal Investigation Agency has decided to arrest former CM of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s wife and son for allegedly giving refuge to absconding offenders, sources said.
The agency is mulling over filing a first information report against the two as it expanded the operation to arrest former MNA Tahir Sadiq, brother-in-law of Elahi, and his daughter Eman Waseem after the deadline for their surrender ended, they added.
The authorities are also planning to include Sadiq’s son-in-law and other members of the family in the case.
Sadiq is accused of backing and facilitating illegal Afghan refugees in Attock. He and his daughter Iman Waseem are also wanted in cases related to arson.
