IHC says it will issue orders on Imran’s jail condition in two to three days

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said on Friday that the court would issue orders regarding Imran Khan’s condition in jail in two to three days.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman had filed an application challenging his transfer to Attock Jail upon arrest. The IHC had recently ordered for him to be shifted to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

However, Justice Farooq questioned Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat why he had objections when the transfer had been made on his request.

Marwat replied that Khan has still not ben given B-Class in jail. He added that the former prime minister does not even have space to take walks.

To this, Justice Farooq replied that orders would be issued in two to three days.

Imran Khan has been in jail since being arrested in the Toshakhana case in August. Although his sentence has been suspended, he continues to be in jail in the cipher case.
