The owner of Peshawar’s famous Charsi Tikka restaurant was arrested after videos on social media showed him behaving inappropriately towards foreign tourists.
The owner, identified as Nisar Khan, could be seen in posing the videos and photos with the foreign tourists. He was in physical contact with the tourists in many photos.
Police officials immediately took notice of the incident and a team from Police Station Shah Qabool immediately arrested the man.
A copy of the FIR said that locals had complained that Khan was involved in ‘obscene acts’ infront of his restaurant, often with foreign women.
A statement from the police said that a case would be registered against Khan and action will be taken accordingly.
Charsi Tikka is a key attraction in the city’s food scene and tourists from far and wide regularly drop in for a meal.
