The Evacuee Trust Property has decided to conduct an operation tomorrow (Thursday) to evacuate Lal Haveli, Damdama Mandir, and Bohar Bazar in Rawalpindi.
“The Evacuee Trust Property has asked for a force from the FIA anti-corruption establishment and police. An operation will be conducted at 6:00 am to retrieve the property,” a post by the former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed’s account on X stated.
On September 18, Rasheed was arrested in Rawalpindi. He was hiding after the violent protests broke out following PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s first arrest on May 9.
The Punjab Inspector General of police Dr Usman Anwar confirmed the arrest a few hours after the Islamabad police said they were not holding him.
Rasheed was arrested by the Islamabad police and men in civil dress, his lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq told Aaj News via phone.
