The Karachi police arrested an alleged robber on suspicion of murder of a girl during a robbery in Pir Ilahi Bakhsh Colony of Karachi on Tuesday.
The body of the girl, identified as 17-year-old Fiza, was found by her mother at their home on Tuesday morning.
The deceased’s brother Fahad filed a first information report at the PIB Colony police station, in which he said that he was informed by his mother of his sister’s killing after she found Fiza’s body covered with blankets and clothes as she returned home from a bank visit.
Police said that one suspect was arrested while raids were being carried out to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The FIR invoked Section 302 (Punishment of qatl-i-amd), Section 396 (Dacoity with murder) and Section 34 (Acts done by several persons In furtherance of common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
In his report, Fahand alleged that Fiza had wounds on her face and head while blood had spilt all around her body.
Fahad claimed that Shehbaz, Junaid, Hasan and Ali, residents of the area, had broken into his home and taken the gold jewellery of his sisters while killing Fiza by beating her up and choking her by tying a rope around her neck over resisting a robbery.
