The government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on September 1 to mark the annual Urs of Sufi saint and poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

According to Sindh government’s notification, all government and semi-government institutions will remain closed on Friday, September 1.

Earlier, the Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Manzoor Ahmed Leghari presided over a meeting to review the arrangements made for 280th annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai at Rest House Bhit Shah.

Addressing the meeting ADC-I said that annual Urs would continue from 14th Safar to 16th and all the arrangements will be finalised before stipulated time.
