The formation of a caretaker government in Balochistan is facing a probable delay. However, the chief minister and oppostion leader are expected to meet to start negotiations in the next 24 hours.
On the other hand, the two major opposition parties in the province are adamant on their own candidate being proposed for the top slot.
The Balochistan National Party has put forward the name of Mir Hamal Kalmati while the Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam has proposed the name of Usman Badini and Shabbir Mengal for caretaker chief minister.
The Balochistan Awami Party has proposed the names of Kauda Babar, Naseer Bizenjo and Aijaz Sanjrani to head the caretaker government.
Sources said that the final decision could be made by Saturday. CM Abdul qudoos Bizenjo is expected to return to Quetta and meet with the oppostion leader right away.
Bizenjo is also expected to send a summary for the assembly’s dissolution to the governor on Saturday.
