A couple was attacked for ‘honour’ in Karachi’s area Gulshan-e-Johar on Sunday.

A man fired on the couple in Pehalwan Goth killing the husband while seriously injuring the wife.

The shooter has been identified as the woman’s brother. Police said that the woman and man had married of their own choice.

The shooter, identified as Abbas, escaped and has not been apprehended yet.

The couple have been identified as Muhammad Safdar and Azra Batool.

SP Gulshan Aziz Ahmad visited the site of the incident and said that the couple had been invited to have food by the woman’s family.

When they showed up, the woman’s brother fired on the couple and fled the scene.
