Mobile phone and internet services will remain suspended on 7, 9 and 10 Muharram in Balochistan’s capital Quetta, said a notification.

The decision was taken in response to the CPO Balochistan’s request. They urged the provincial government to jam the wireless mobile internet services, Wingle, Charji etc, PTCL V.

As per the decision, wireless and all wireless telephone services in Quetta will remain suspended on the following days:

Muharram 7 – July 26, 2023 – From 9:00am to 8:00pmMuharram 9 – July 28, 2023 – From 9:00am to 8:00pmMuharram 10 – July 29, 2023 – From 9:00am to 8:00pm

Such decisions in the past have been taken by the government to ensure the safety of people during religious events.
