A delegation of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency will visit Pakistan in September this year to review a ban on Pakistan International Airline flights to Europe.
The EASA delegation will undertake an audit of the Pakistan International Airlines as well as the Civil Aviation Authority.
Successfully clearing the audit could lead to a reversal of the ban on PIA flights to European Union member states that has been in place since 2020.
Pakistan International Airline flights were banned from Europe after former Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan claimed that dozens of PIA pilots had been working on fake licenses.
