Anti-terror court issues warrants for Imran Khan in 3 cases

An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad issued bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan in three different cases over his failure to appear in person.

ATC judge Muhammad Zulqurnain presided over petitions in the court on Thursday morning, where Imran Khan’s lawyers filed a request to be exempted from in-person hearing.

However, the court did not grant the exemption and issued warrants for the PTI chairman and postponed proceedings till July 19.

Imran Khan is implicated in multiple cases of rioting in the anti-terrorism court.

Imran Khan is facing a number of cases in courts across the country from corruption, to rioting and contempt cases. The Election Commission of Pakistan also recently issued non-bailable warrants for Imran Khan in a contempt case.
