Think its too hot? Bara pupils study under tents, hollowed-out buildings

With rising temperatures and soaring electricity prices, the summer season is becoming unbearable for urban dwellers. Hundreds of miles from skyscrapers, there are schools that were razed to the ground or left with hollowed-out structures in militancy-hit tribal regions. Pupils there continue to take classes before the summer vacations begin in early June.

In Bara tehsil of Khyber district, students still hold onto hope that one day they will receive the necessary facilities for quality education – such as the luxury of taking classes in a complete school building.

These resilient students are currently studying in tent schools, enduring extreme heat without fans, electricity, or proper shelter to shield them from the scorching weather.

The school buildings remain dilapidated and in need of reconstruction or repair.

Given the dire conditions, the local community and students have issued an urgent appeal, requesting immediate provision of tents to alleviate the heat.

Additionally, they are urging authorities to prioritize the construction of school buildings and the provision of electricity.

Despite the challenges they face, these determined children will not give up on their dreams of a better education and a brighter future.
